Sensus Historiae – Call for Papers: Bałtyk i Czarne – historia i współczesność Europy Środkowej i Wschodniej z morskiej perspektywy
Czasopismo Sensus Historiae, wydawane przez Wydzial Historii Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewiacza w Poznaniu zaprasza autorów do publikacji artykułów w numerze tematycznym:
Bałtyk i Czarne – historia i współczesność Europy Wschodniej z morskiej perspektywy.
Inwazja Rosji na Ukrainę i zapoczątkowane przez nią zmiany w ładzie międzynarodowym uwidoczniły znaczenie akwenów morskich dla funkcjonowania i rozwoju państw Europy Środkowo-Wschodniej. Ukraina zdołała obronić zachodnią część swego wybrzeża, ograniczając zdolności działania Rosji na Morzu Czarnym. Miało to fundamentalne znaczenie zarówno dla funkcjonowania ukraińskiego państwa, jak i zachowania światowego bezpieczeństwa żywnościowego. W efekcie Morze Czarne zaczęto postrzegać jako kluczowy obszar dla oddziaływania NATO i Unii Europejskiej na kierunku południowo-wschodnim. Natomiast w reakcji na agresywny imperializm Rosji, dwa państwa bałtyckie – Szwecja i Finlandia – zmieniły zasady swego funkcjonowania na arenie międzynarodowej, dołączając do Sojuszu Północnoatlantyckiego. W odpowiedzi na rozszerzenie NATO w tym regionie, Rosja rzuciła wyzwanie zbiorowemu bezpieczeństwu, organizując akcje sabotażowe, uderzające w infrastrukturę krytyczną.
Morza Bałtyckie i Czarne znalazły się na pierwszym planie rywalizacji strategicznej w Europie, skupiając uwagę społeczeństw regionu, zwłaszcza państw brzegowych. Celem naszej publikacji jest przybliżenia znaczenia obu akwenów dla ich historii, tożsamości oraz kultur strategicznych i geopolitycznych. Do zgłaszania propozycji artykułów zapraszamy autorów reprezentujących nauki humanistyczne i społeczne.
Obszary tematyczne:
- Morze Bałtyckie i Czarne w kulturze i historiografii państw regionu;
- historia międzynarodowych stosunków politycznych, gospodarczych i kulturowych w basenach Morza Bałtyckiego i Czarnego;
- historia obszarów i miast nadmorskich na tle historii narodowej, regionalnej, europejskiej;
- rozwój kultur morskich w basenach Morza Bałtyckiego i Czarnego;
- historia morskich konfliktów zbrojnych w basenach Morza Bałtyckiego i Czarnego;
- Morze Bałtyckie i Morze Czarne we współczesnej strategii politycznej i rozwojowej państw regionu.

Sensus Historiae – Call for Papers: The Baltic and Black Seas – the history and present day of Central and Eastern Europe from a maritime perspective
The journal Sensus Historiae, published by the Faculty of History at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, invites authors to submit articles for a special issue on the following topic:
The Baltic and Black Seas – the history and present day of Eastern Europe from a maritime perspective.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine and the changes it has brought about in the international order have highlighted the importance of maritime areas for the functioning and development of Central and Eastern European countries. Ukraine managed to defend the western part of its coastline, limiting Russia's capabilities in the Black Sea. This was of fundamental importance both for the functioning of the Ukrainian state and for maintaining global food security. As a result, the Black Sea began to be seen as a key area for NATO and the European Union to exert influence in the south-east. In response to Russia's aggressive imperialism, two Baltic states – Sweden and Finland – changed their international policies by joining the North Atlantic Alliance. In response to NATO's expansion in the region, Russia challenged collective security by organising sabotage operations targeting critical infrastructure.
The Baltic and Black Seas have come to the forefront of strategic rivalry in Europe, focusing the attention of the region's societies, especially the coastal states. The aim of our publication is to highlight the importance of both seas for their history, identity, and strategic and geopolitical cultures. We invite authors representing the humanities and social sciences to submit proposals for articles.
Thematic areas:
* the Baltic and Black Seas in the culture and historiography of the countries of the region;
* the history of international political, economic and cultural relations in the Baltic and Black Sea basins;
* the history of coastal areas and cities against the backdrop of national, regional and European history;
* the development of maritime cultures in the Baltic and Black Sea basins;
* the history of maritime armed conflicts in the Baltic and Black Sea basins;
* the Baltic and Black Seas in the contemporary political and development strategy of the countries of the region.
